Aims and objectives
This one day course aims to provide delegates with an understanding of fire safety in relation to their role as fire marshal/fire warden. This course will also give theoretical training on how to select and correctly use fire extinguishers and fire blankets.
Intended for
Those employees who have been nominated as fire marshals in the workplace.
Why choose this course?
All employers are required to carry out an assessment of the risk of fire in their workplace. As part of their fire plan, an employer may appoint fire marshals, otherwise known as fire wardens, to carry out certain tasks. This could include routine inspections such as ensuring fire exits are kept clear and that fire fighting appliances are in the right place etc.
Employees must be trained in fire safety in relation to their workplace, however those employees who have been nominated as fire marshals should undergo additional training so that they can carry out their duties safely.
