Display Screen Equipment Assessor Training

Aims and objectives

This one day course aims to provide delegates with the information necessary to complete DSE risk assessments in their workplace. Delegates will receive the underpinning knowledge of the risks associated with DSE use, how to set up and adjust an employees work station, and be able to carry out and review a DSE risk assessment.

Intended for

Any employee who is to be responsible for carrying out DSE risk assessments within the workplace, and for advising employees and new starters on the correct way to work with display screen equipment.

Why choose this course?

The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 state that employers must complete a suitable and sufficient risk assessment for every employee who is defined as a DSE “user” – typically someone who works on a PC for more than one hour per day.

This course will enable each delegate to be able to carry out DSE risk assessments in the workplace. This will enable the employer to carry out his legal duty as well as reducing the risk of injury and possible civil action from employees who have not had a DSE assessment carried out.
